My first Christmas: The Best Gift

December 11th, marked the first Christmas this year.
Also, my last Christmas in UPH as a student hehehe

This Christmas was a blessing for me,
I just enjoyed being with my best friends once again.
Praised my best friend, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ together with them
created such unity that i would remember till my old days

I took some pictures of the Christmas concert

Beautiful lyrical dance done by the most awesome Light of Hope Dance Crew

Praise and Worship Team.

Do you know who is this? MR. SIDNEY MOHEDE, everyone!

Great songs to praise Lord God

The praise and worship team was awesome, so was Mr Sidney Mohede.
The anointing of the Lord certainly was there leh,
Together we had great time praising God.
I believe He was pleased as well! hehehe

And.. these below are memories..
Just thousand smiles i and my friends had in that beautiful Christmas Day
Me and Rima

Girls... Generation? Hahaha #slapped!

Trying to look pretty in this picture but failed. Oh, well..!

One of the best gift of all: Friends!

I want to share this with you, chicas ^^..
I have done LOTS of thinking in three months, when i was left crippled in hospital.
I realized that money, dreams, achievements and position are important but not everything.
They can be gone in the blink of eye, just like what happened to me
We are young, and those things can be what we seek and strive for.
Sometimes we can fear for what might happened to us in the future.
Or if we are successful now we fear on how long it is going to last.

We fear and slowly those fear dragging us away from our beloved ones.
Those fear left our faith immaculate and helpless.
We are going to start depend on ourselves and that is the start of our decay.

Urban decay is nice but life decay certainly isn`t
I find that depend on God while doing my best is far better way of living.
Though i realized this late, but friends and family are people that we need to keep dear.
Those we certainly need to cherish well.
To have faith, to have a new life, and to have people that love me
Those are the best gifts in my life
and lastly do not fear, have heart.

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”

Psychodance: Two Faces and many ramblings

Dance is my love. Since i was kid, dance had consumed my life. Really, i just enjoy dance in any kind, say that it is traditional, hiphop, jazz, salsa or ballet. Doesn`t matter to me, as long as it is dance i`m gonna love it

But, i am forced to let go of my love. Ever since i got burned, my tummy and my legs are full of scars. The new skin are black and inelastic. I tried to dance once, and i ended up make my scars bleed. Moreover, for a dancer like me, i am no longer flexible, my legs are stiff. Say goodbye to that beautiful arabesque, assemble, and balancoire. Those moves that i used to love the most, i am no longer able to do them.

Well, that is the dark aka sad part. So sad, but I believe in staying strong in difficult situation in life. Yes, i lost my ability that i am proud of. It made me desperate, but sometimes in life, i got to just accept it. Accept things that i can not change. Be grateful that once in my life, God has ever given me the chance to be a dancer.

Now that it is gone, i am just grateful (again) that i could help being a dance competition`s jury. Though can no longer perform, that does not mean i can do nothing for a stage art! This is my second time being a dance jury and i love it! This competition called PSYCHODANCE: TWO FACES, was held by Pelita Harapan University Surabaya, my uni. There were many teams performing with tons of energy and great skills.

It was like... EXPLOSION~~

I was really happy to see all the talented high school students! I hope they got a great time in performing something that they love.

And here are the winners

Runner Up: PETRA 5 Senior High School

Winner: Frateran Senior High School

Group Picture! Can you spot me?

And me..

I am winning over my life struggles. Sometimes a very bad and unfortunate things happen in life. It is very bad that for a while i lost my life meaning and my confidence. But i am too precious to become a bitter person. Yes, i lost my ability to dance, but i gain an ability to judge a performance. Life is two faces. Happy and Sad. When sad comes, just stand strong and choose to be happy. Lost and gain. When you lost something or someone, see that it is an opportunity to learn something new.
 Just.....
don`t give up.

Life has two faces and we are strong enough to face it.

Congrats for the winner and the commitee who had worked hard. I wanna let you know that you were doing a great great job putting up a dance competition and helping me find a new meaning.

Cheers all,
Hana

Jatim Fair and Education

Have you been here?

It is Jatim Fair Indonesia that has been held in Grand City Convex since last week. This fair is celebrated annually with  the performances of national singers like Sheila on 7, Maliq and so on. Great lha, i quite enjoy this fair.

The fair is proudly presenting East Java`s local products such as furnitures, and also local handicrafts. The government departments also presenting their project and works, so that they can get closer to people. We, including me, ussually blame the governments about pretty much everything that doesn`t go right, like the traffic jam, bad infrastucture and also flood. Here you can get their answers.

My sole purpose on going to the fair was to visit the consulat generals`s booth to get information about scholarships and master degrees, and there i was lingering on USA, Japan and European booths! Hahaha, got quite of handful information and i met my friend, Putri who is apparently working for the consulate. Aaa Putri, i miss you so much! Let`s meet again hehehe

Putri and Me

Me and Obama

And.. This is me with Mr Obama`s cardboard. I look so damn short compared to him. Oh well, maybe he ate too much satay ( his Indonesian favorite dish) when he spent his childhood in Indonesia. Gathered a lot of proteins and   got very smart and tall. Hahaha. So now we know the secret to be a president! Satay!

Now meet Christian, my beloved soulmate who accompanied me to the fair. Hehehe this is what i call compatible. Same chubby cheeks, same fat tummy and about same heights!

And lastly this is me with Kimono from Japan hehehe. The kimono was surely pretty and had very smooth fabric. I couldn`t wait to go there and wearing the kimono like this myself.

If you got to choose a country to continue your study. What do you choose? USA, Japan, Singapore?

As for me, my first choice will be USA. I was there for my highschool years and i loved it. I am also dying to meet my hostfamily, touch the snow, play hide and seek in Walmart and buy MILANI for cheap. Maybe i will send some for you readers in Indonesia so you can share my joy.

My second pick must be Spain or Mexico. Hehehe, either way, as long as they speak Spanish. I can speak Spanish though not as fluent as my English and i really want to improve it before that cute romantic language that i learned so hard die! In Surabaya i couldn`t find any spanish speaking community or Spanish teacher, that is why my Spanish slowly going blunt. Oh no! Hehehe I desperately needs to go pursue my Masters in Spain or Mexico!

Which countries suit me best? Hehehe, ya, let`s pray and work for the best. Master degree education is just around the corner. One or two more years. Pray for me too, will ya? hehehe

I love you all,
Hana

Great medicines for Burns

hellokitty12.gifHi, sistah! Today i want to share about burn treatments. As you may know i am suffering of second and third degree burns stretching across both legs and tummy. Most of the time it hurts! Well, thanks God it is getting better now, i can walk tho painful and do some activities. I am so grateful that i can recover, it is suck to be bedrested for more than a month. Wanna know great medicines behind the recovery? Here it goes................

After i got my third surgery, i am allowed to go home. The surgeon prescribed for me some antibiotics. I have to go back to the hospital every 4/5 days to change the dressings of the wounds. Tell you what? It is a torture. Plus, my surgeon and the nurses were not very nice. They were so coldblooded and they just make the pain worse! Ah, it is so unfair because i paid couple millions every time i change dressings and i went to a wellknown hospital here in Surabaya.

Fed up with the hospital services, i called my aunt and uncle who are also doctors. They said that i can change the dressing myself at home and they both agree that the price i paid for the hospital was too over the top. So, after that i change the dressing myself. Painful, yucky and ah, only terrible words i can think for describing the process.

My uncle prescribe me this vitamin called Zegase. It contains Selenium which induce skin cells growth. I like how the recovery is boost up eversince i consume this vitamin. It is very good for my health too, i think i will continue to staple this even after my full recovery. Yeah, it is good for my skin!

Then, being a chinese - raised i am, my aunt bought me some chinese traditional medicine too. And guess what? I personally think they work better than the doctor`s med! I still consume the antibiotics of course and give some time recess before eating this traditional medicine. The first one is Pai Tze Huang. Ussually i felt so fatigue before start taking these pills. I have no energy to walk and after taking these i feel more energized! Great great great! The only down part about this medicine is the price. One box costed my aunt 600.000 rupiahs. Hell! It contains 6 capsules, so 1 capsule is 100.000 rupiahs. If i were not sick, i would rather buy collections of Urban decay Naked Pallete every three days! huhuhuhuhu

Now, i don`t have to change dressing anymore. I use this CHITIN CHITOSAN CAPSULES. This one is pretty reasonable in price, around 400.000 rupiahs for 100 capsules. Okay lhaaa.. What i do is i open the capsules and cover the wounds with the chitosan powder. What this capsules do is pretty much making a thick scab and clot to cover the wounds. It is also making a nice environment for the skin cells to grow. My wounds look so disgusting with thick scab and clot. Yuck! But i can really tell that it is healing, the scab edges fall off bit by bit everyday and i can tell that the scab is decreasing in size. This way is the least painful for me too. I can walk more and even taking pictures for this blog.

I still have a long way to go for a full recovery and recover from discoloration here and there. But yeah, once again i am so grateful because God heals me and make these medicine works. If i heal, i will still have discoloration on my skin which take years to get back to normal. I heard laser service can make the process faster? Anybody knows about good laser service?

Bye for now, chicas ! Please pray for me ^^
Love: GOD and HIS amazing works in my life

Life is good! Cookies, New School and a Bunch of Gifts

Hai hai, dear readers.. How is life treating you? Today i want to share with you things that have been catching my attention. Before i got the accident, i managed to go to food exhibition that was held in Grand City Exhibition Center, Surabaya. I saw this cookie machine in one of the booth, and i fell in love with it in that instant. It was so cool and convenient! Aaidea.gif , lets save some money to take this machine home...

Cookie machine

And this is " COUPLE FAVORITE DISH"star.gif . I and Christian ( my BF) HEART it very much. What is it? It is called Chicken cordon bleu from Solaria Restaurant. Gladly, it is very affordable, hmm around 20.000 - ish per portion. Our favorite part of this dish is the melted cheese inside.. YUMMY...

And... the best part of this post is this huge collection (for me) of make up given by my juniors. They come from faraway, Belgium and USA. Thanks! I already made a review about Milani Baked Eyeshadow here. Aa.. It feels so great to have this collection!

Ah, ya, remember my sister, Reta? She has finally went to culinary school in Surabaya Hotel School. Let`s pray the best for her! laugh.gif

Yaaa, tho life is tough sometimes, simple things like this somehow can make my day and remind me how good life can be. So, never give up! Fighting
