Review Covergirl Eye Enhancers 4 Kit Shadows

Hola, chicas :)! How are you today? Aaa, before we know it, it is Saturday already. Today i come up with my "lost but recently found" covergirl eye enhancers 4 kit shadows. This eyeshadows were my favorite last year, but because many rivals are coming in my beauty stash, this kit has forgotten.

I found this in a poor condition, applicator gone, and one of the shadow has break into pieces. So sorry >.< dear shadows..

About covergirl eye enhancers

It is a kit contains matte, sparkle and shimmery shadows. That has been designed for a kit "to go" from day to night look.

Packaging and Texture

Eventhough it is packaged in plastic container, i find the container is pretty sturdy. I don`t know how many time i have drop this eyeshadow already, regarding how clumsy i am. But still the container is great, and still click and open well. Too bad that the packaging is not cute like Korean brands or colorful like Benefit. But, well, yeah, the container has served its function well and Covergirl always has this modern - minimalistic packaging concept. Hmm, talking about texture, it is a little bit powdery and chalky.

Longevity, Application, Pigmentation

It stays put around three hours without eye primers and longer if you put one. Application is easy because this eyeshadows is blendable. But, in terms of pigmentation. Blah! I have to swap many times in order to make the color shows. The colors are very sheer. Hmm, maybe it will be great for school, where you can`t wear strong colors shadow.

Overall

+ Sturdy packaging
+ Blendable
- A little bit chalky and powdery
- Bad pigmentation

Rating 3/5

Hmm, before i end this blog post, i just want to invite you to join my mini giveaway. Hopefully you like it and good luck. Have a blast!

Review: Nature Republic Vanilla Sky Foundation and FOTD

Last April, my friend Putri went to South Korea for a seminar purposes. She kindly brought back for me some make up and skincare, and this was one of `em. Nature Republic is a Korean make up brand that emphasize on natural ingredients. Not just a mouthful, this foundation really does contain polynesia lagoon water and SPF 25 PA++. Hmm, sounds good to me ^.^

Okay, let`s get down to the product review, shall we?
Packaging

Comes in a blue plastic tube with flower print, this foundation looks a little bit "standard". Not really cute, but not bad either. I really like the idea using plastic, because it will be travel friendly. Tube packaging is also hygienic.

 Swatch, Texture and Smell
It has creamy texture, a little bit thick so it is hard to blend. For me, i find it better to use make up sponge rather than paddle-like foundation brush. The brush only resulting in streaky finish. It has such a strong vanilla smell that wont go away for 15 minutes. The smell is fine for me, because my skin is not sensitive towards fragrance.

Spread - spread-.. Looks really white, isn't it?

Blend more with my fingers

Coverage, Oil control, Pigmentation and Longevity

Semi matte finish and the coverage is sheer to medium. For a really bad acne scar, concealer is a must. At first, the foundation didn`t blend well and causing a white cast, but after a while it settled well. On me, this foundie doesn`t oxidise, stay bright till i remove it. Pigmentation is good, a little goes along the way and brightens up the entire face. It stays put for 5 - 6 hours, and i do need to blot sometimes. So, i would say that the oil control is so - so.

FOTD

The best part about my job, is that i get to travel to a lot of mall for many reasons. Market research, location finding, or even checking the SOYA stores. Hehehehe so i can go sightseeing while working.

This time i went to Supermall PTC Surabaya. I was in hurry making this FOTD, i didn`t even have time to apply the eyeliner and as you can see, the eyelash glue were very apparent and flaking >.<

Gah! Thank goodness the eyelashes didn`t fall off until the end of the day. I just use copper and brown eyeshadow all over my lids and apply falsies. That was it.

And for the face, i was using Nature republic vanilla sky foundation. I like the finishing look of this foundie. My skin looks brighter, smoother, but not heavy :)

REVIEW: Sariayu Shimmering Powder Bena

Glowing complexion and perfect contouring are two korean make up highlights. But little i know that this kind of look can be achieved through a local brand too. I used to think that local brand means "heavy" make up and colorful eyeshadows, whereas korean brand offers subtler color and natural make up.

This shimmering powder that i am going to review today is a great product from Sariayu. I mainly love this because it is an ALL KILL product. It contains four colors that can be used separately.
WHITE : Sparkly and glittery color. I use this for the tear duct, cupid bow, and sometimes i use this on top of a lipstick so it looks very shimmery

BROWN: Many people use this as bronzing color, but personally i think that it is hard to pick with bronzing brush. Instead i use this for eyeshadows. Perfect for everyday.
PINK: Beautiful subtle pink that is great for blush on.
Creme: This is the greatest part, i use this mainly to highlight my nose bridge, and if i blend this color with the others, i can use it as a highlight for my cheek bones.

The packaging is sleek and and flower pattern just make it perfect. It also comes with brush and plastic pouch. But i lost them somewhere in my room :(. The brush was soft though. Very nice.

The texture can be a little bit powdery when i use it too much. But as long as i use it sparingly. It really flatters my face. The shimmer is also subtle, it accentuates my face with healthy glow without making it like a disco ball. I also have a similar product name PAC Shimmering powder, compares to that, this product provides more down to earth glow. PAC Shimmering powder is perfect for party look, whereas Sariayu shimmering powder is more into everyday look.

The glow last all day. I ussually apply this for my school make up and  my face still glowy after  4 -5 hours. For me,  i think it is a worthy products to buy. I would recommend this for:
1. Korean make up lover
2. Someone who loves to have dewy - glowy look
3. Someone who is looking for affordable but good shimmering powder

Review: Maybelline Fruity Jelly Lipgloss in Creamy Guava

Hello, loveliest! :D Happy friday morning, i hope you seize the day and be happy because it is the last working day. I am still going to work tomorrow and even Sunday. But i am also happy because tomorrow is my anniversary day with my boyfriend. Horray! We have been together for soo long, 5 - 6 years? I pray that we will be able to help each other and grow together until we are old :)

Hehehe enough for a jibby jabbering :P.. In this lovely friday i want to share with you an affordable lipgloss from maybelline. It comes in Fruity Jelly lipgloss line. Mine is creamy guava, and i bought it for around 35.000. Creamy guava is pretty much sheer pink color lipgloss that sits prettily around the lips. It is kinda MLBBG (my lips but better and glossy) color. If you want this, it is affordable and easy to find. You can practically fin this product in every make up counter.

Application is easy. Since it comes in a tube packaging,it is easier also to carry. It never spills on my make up pouch too.

Texture, Longevity, Smell, Pigmentation

It is a little bit sticky and gel like gloss, but i find it comfortable to wear. It has fade - guava scents. But it will certainly goes away in not time once you apply this on the lips :). It sparks on my lips for like three hours if i don`t eat anything. Quite an achievement, because i find another lipgloss start fading in one or two hours. Pigmentation is very sheer. Very very sheer, but well, i buy this for the glossy part anyway. It is also moisturizing. I ussually have a chapped lips, and it is getting better after a fruity jelly lipgloss regular use.

There is nothing "wow" about this product, but i find it do its job as a lipgloss. So, due to the price and longevity, i would recommend this to my fellow college students who needs a daily lipgloss.

Coastal scents 88 Original Pallete Review

Tons of colors to play with, cheap price and good quality eyeshadows.

Those are three things that describe this pallete the most. I bought this for around 250.000 at Make up Brush FB. Since then, this has been my toy, and my best friend to do a little experiment on make up. When i first received the package, the silver pan falls off, i have to stick it with a double tape. It comes with a little mirror and two applicators. The mirror is so small, quite disappointing, >.< because i like bigger mirror better. The applicators are useless too, it is stiff and hurt my eyes when i use it. They don`t have enough sponge to deliver a good and comfortable application. After several times using these applicators, I throw it away and change them with a better ones.

Hmm, it is just the start and i have talked so many minus points about this pallete >.< (MY BAD!). It doesn`t mean that this pallete is not good tho. It is great, really....

Now, look at the pan! It contains 88 eyeshadows with matte and shimmery range. Very pretty! Most of them are pigmented. You can see the swatches. I swatch them without any primers, and the colors kick so well. Vibrant! But some colors like beige and pale colors are not that pigmented. I may need to apply it over and over again.

Just a little tip, this eyeshadow is easy to fall out. So, don`t forget to tap the excess before applying, or you can put a lot of loose powder below your eyes to catch the fall out. Inspite this down part, the application is quite easy. Blendable and the texture is good. It glides easily on my eyelids. It stays for 4 -5 hours after that it is going to fade. For a monolid like me, the eyeshadows would likely to crease, so eyeprimer is a must.

After about a month using this pallete, i already created some looks. See them here and here. My favorite beauty guru, Sasaki Asahi is also using this a lot. She also use another pallete from coastal scents like the warm pallete, shimmery pallete and blush on pallete. I really want to collect the other pallete ^.^... Lets save money! hehehehe..

I bought this from My lovelysister preloved sale. It is still in a good condition and i am satisfied with the service. As expected as a professional make up seller, Aini`s ( the blog owner) responses were fast and kind.

Aight, lets scrutinize our new product bit by bit.....

PACKAGING

Packaged in black plastic, there is nothing special in the packaging. But somehow it delivers the classy feeling and simplicity. The cap is tight. I also love the idea how they are using transparent plastic in the bottom, therefore i could see clearly the color inside without opening the lid.

PIGMENTATION, LONGEVITY, APPLICATION and TEXTURE

PIGMENTED! Just one swap and my lips are shimmery and very apricot - like. The texture are creamy, it glides well on my lips. Though it is creamy, upon usage my lips feel a little bit dry. It stays for around three hours, after that whats left on my lips are cute shimmers and hint of apricot. Even when it fades, it still left away a cute shimmer.

OVERALL

SHIMMERY? SPARKLY? Totally true. I can see an apparent shimmer in one swap. My lips look fuller too because shimmer catches the light and give illusion of a fuller lips. However, in my taste, this lipstick is too much for everyday use, too "bling - bling". But for party? Definitely YES. I would recommend this lipstick for shimmer lovers.

REVIEW: E.L.F Studio Stippling Brush

Hi, beauties :). I want to share about E.L.F Stippling Brush. If you wonder what stippling brush is, it is actually a brush for applying face product, wet or dry. For complete information, here is the description from ELF website

This new antibacterial, synthetic haired Taklon brush is softer and more ansorbent and can be used with wet or dry products. Be a professional makeup artist and create a flawless look with this e.l.f. Studio brush!

The layered bristles create a soft airbrushed look that's perfect for applying foundation or adding colour definition to cheekbones or highlighting with soft layers. Use this brush with any liquid or powder face product such as foundation, blush or bronzer to build your coverage from sheer to heavy.

Personally, i use this brush for applying my NYX cream blushes. It works well. My blushes are in rose petal and glow, it is very pigmented. So, when i apply it with my hands, it turns out to be too much. The best way to apply it is with this stipple brush. It blends the product to a smooth finish.

Sometimes, i use it for powder blush and highlighter. Works like charm also. This brush picked up the product evenly, so it would end up looking natural on my face.

But somehow, i feel like i can`t use this to apply liquid foundation or BB cream. It waste so much product, takes more time to apply, and also the bb cream looks streaky and uneven. I wonder if the problem is my lacking skill because many other bloggers said it works well to apply liquid foundation and BB cream too. Do you have this brush? If you have tips to apply foundation/ bb cream with this brush, please share it with me too ^^..

I find the handle is very sleek and ergonomic. It is just well fit to my hands. Not too big, not too small

The brush itself is not very dense. It is made of taklon ( idk what it is, maybe something synthetic >.<). Good thing about taklon is it doesn`t shed, washed easily, and have high flexibility. I washed this nearly every other day, but then the bristles never shed once. The bristle is easily stained tho. But overall, this is a very recommended brush. It is affordable, yet works like a charm

Price: around 60.000 rupiahs/ 9 SGD

I love their dresses. Extravagant and glamorous, remind me of the comical Arabic tale, where all the princesses gathered and wearing beautiful gowns.

And, at last, i took pictures with some of these beautiful ladies :)

Ok ladies, good luck for your competition :).. I hope you have had great experience
